    EU TARIC tariff lookup

TARIC (Tarif Intégré Communautaire) is the EU's integrated tariff database. It extends the international 6-digit Harmonised System code with the EU's 8-digit Combined Nomenclature (CN) and 10-digit TARIC subheadings, and overlays every customs measure that applies to an import — duty rates, anti-dumping and countervailing duties, preferential FTA rates, quotas, and suspensions. Dutifi's Tariff Lookup queries the EU TARIC dataset directly: enter a CN/HS code and, optionally, an origin country to see the third-country (MFN) duty, the WTO bound ceiling, preferential rates by origin, and any trade-defence or attached measures.

    Why the right tariff matters

Declaring the wrong duty means either a post-clearance demand for underpaid duty plus interest, or overpaid duty tied up in a repayment claim. TARIC codes also carry attached measures — anti-dumping cases, licences, surveillance, CITES permits — that can hold a consignment at the border. Checking the code and origin before you buy or declare surfaces those costs and requirements up front. All figures shown are indicative and MFN-basis; preferential rates require a valid proof of origin, and anti-dumping duties may be producer-specific. Always confirm in the official TARIC database before acting.

HS is the global 6-digit Harmonised System code, used worldwide. CN (Combined Nomenclature) is the EU-specific 8-digit code — HS plus two EU subheadings. TARIC is 10 digits — CN plus two further digits for measures like anti-dumping. Import declarations into the EU require the full 10-digit TARIC.
